PRTF

The Professional Reliance Task Force has released its report on "Professional Reliance in Forest and Range Management." The BCAPA executive was invited to review and comment on previous drafts of this report, and many of our comments were incorporated. Although the report focuses on the role of self-regulating professions in the forestry sector, this is also an important document for archaeologists.

Insurance

Effective March 31, 2006, Encon has ended the BCAPA group insurance coverage program due to non-participation. Members can still obtain coverage for General Liability, Professional Liability and Errors and Omissions through Encon, but it will now cost more because it will be done on an individual basis. BCAPA members can get this coverage through any broker they choose, and no longer have to go through Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada Inc.
